Customs Specialist — think of it as a Customer Service Representative who advances the world of international trade.
What We Do
International Trade Solutions is a US Customs Brokerage firm that specializes in facilitating shipments into the United States. What does that really mean? Stuff ships in and out of the country. US Customs and Border Protection wants to know what it is. An entry needs to be filed for each shipment… but, that gets complex with changing government regulations. So, clients use a licensed Customs Broker, like us, to help them file that paperwork.
The majority of our shipments come from our northern neighbor Canada, but we still process shipments bound worldwide — Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, Australia, you name it.

What the Job is Like
This could very well be the most high tech job you've ever had that didn't feel too intimidating… well, after a little while. There's no other way to learn than to just jump in head first. We'll start you out slowly with a training advisor and then pick up the pace as you're ready.
Each workstation has two monitors that hold your customer service system, Customs operating system, online fax records, and more. As you learn, use our systems, and interact with clients; you may find areas of improvement. Together we'll advance international trade. It's how our business is staying ahead of the curve.
